Why Trinidad & Tobago

Two islands, one country

This tropical twin-island republic lies in the Caribbean Sea a few miles off the northeastern coast of Venezuela and are the southernmost islands in the chain which span the Caribbean Sea between North and South America. Both islands were once an extension of the South American continent - its flora and fauna reflects this geographical link.

Trinidad is the most industrialised island and is the economic powerhouse with its oil and gas, yet it boasts a weath of culture, being home to the steelpan, limbo and calypso. Its smaller sister, Tobago is one of the few remaining Caribbean oases not overrun by tourism, with idyllic beaches and unspoilt rainforest.
